Hello to all fans of Macedonian cycling. So… we had a slight break. Let’s go straight to Team News to get everybody up to speed!
---TEAM NEWS—
Near the end of season 59, trainer Dragi Stavrevski took the team to his aunt’s second house in Peshtani on the shores of lake Ohrid. There, after a great team strategy meeting around 4 am, the boys found a few bottles of Miss Stavrevski’s homemade Rakia. Naturally, it would be a shame for this fine local Macedonian product to gather dust, so the whole team got to work. This is the last our riders and staff can remember. Riste Nikolovski was the first one to wake, in the middle of season 66. We suspect a sneaky attack from our southern neighbours in Greece, but those Albanians across the lake have also been looking at our glorious cycling culture with envy. Whatever the case, Velosipedska is now collectively 7 years older. We will have to deal with it.

---RACE NEWS—
The end of season 67 was mainly used to get back to competitive divisions. Velosipedska filled half the top-9 at both Davos - Davos and Kirovakan ITT, where Jordan Spirkoski grabbed our only victory of the season. We dit well in TT’s across the board, with both Jordan and Stojance Meglenski securing results at Pikes Peak ITT. We participated in both Cup of the Four Rivers and El Tocororo, mainly to see how we did versus better opposition. No noteworthy results were recorded. In total, we had 13 results across the divisions, which is about right for half a season in lower divisions.
So what now? Our main goal is still seeing how this aged squad performs whilst we scout new Macedonian mountain goats. Our first real challenge will be Men become Gods Tour, where we are looking for at least a top-9 finish. Jordan Spirkoski will lead the way, but depending on the first results Riste Nikolovski could be ready to step in if needed. Of course, winning the home tour of our beloved southern neighbours would be very sweet, but the opposition is strong and our guys are not quite attaining top form yet. Still, we hope to see many true Macedonians cheering us on in southern Macedonia next Sunday!
---RIDER NEWS—
In this strange season, there was still a bit of rider news:
Riste Nikolovski ($508,500) has passed the 500k milestone in prize money gained. No other rider has passed the 200k mark yet for Velosipedska. Nikolovski thought about retiring, but the lack of available talent has convinced Riste to go on for a season or two. Nikolovski will only pass the torch if a worthy successor arrives!
Eftim Nastevski (146) is set to become the second Velosipedska rider after Nikolovski (175) to surpass 150 appearances during Men Become Gods.
Nikola Shaqiri (106) has made his 100th appearance for Velosipedska. And is now one of six current riders with that much racing experience on the team.
Leco Vasilevski, Elvis Sljivancanin and Muzafer Curlinov each secured the first result in their careers.
That is all for today, we wish you all well in season 67!
Kind regards and thanks for reading,

Thanks for the love everyone!
(@Don, your payment will be provided imminently in crates of Ajvar, Chebapi and Rakia at the usual location)
Nice to see you back and soon going strong!
The best news ofc is your comeback. I am sure you will find your way up in no time again. Great career for Riste, curious how your xp-hurted oldies will do in the ancient world.
Welcome back and good luck!
Those jealous Albanian Cycling fans
I can confirm nor deny that your team failing to pay admin fees has anything to do with what happened in Peshtani. ;)
Nice to see all the famous names again. Good luck. And I wonder where you have been, if it's okay to reveal. ;)
Great to see you back, Good luck!
